Summary

Robert Half Management Resources is currently looking a meticulous and experienced Senior Accountant ad interim (m/f/x) to manage the full spectrum of accounting duties for our client's operations.

Our client is based on Flemish Brabant and is active in the human resources sector.

The ideal candidate will have a solid background in BeGaap accounting standards and be comfortable working with both local and international accounting regulations, including IFRS. This role involves close collaboration with external consultants and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, tax compliance, and reconciliations.

Key Responsibilities:

General Accounting:

  • Maintain accurate accounting records in compliance with BeGaap standards.
  • Handle the accounting for a smaller Luxembourg entity.
  • Reconciliations and Closings:
  • Perform monthly reconciliations, ensuring alignment between different financial accounts.
  • Prepare and execute monthly financial closings according to IFRS standards, including balance sheet reconciliations.

Tax and Compliance:

  • Collaborate with external consultants to manage corporate tax matters.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and regulations.

Contract Management:

  • Oversee contract management for procurement and sales, ensuring timely payments and invoicing for large volume transactions.

Investment and Loans:

  • Monitor ongoing investments, ensuring no outstanding loans and managing minimal investment activities.

Intercompany Transactions:

  • Manage intercompany transactions, ensuring accurate reporting and reconciliations.

Cash Management:

  • Implement and manage cash pooling procedures using standardized processes.

Payroll and Provisions:

  • Prepare and manage payroll and provisions, particularly focusing on receivable invoices.

Financial Closing:

  • Manage the financial closing process, with initial preparation two days before the month-end and finalizing within the first five days of the new month. Ensure accounting is completed by the third working day.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in accounting, preferably in a consulting environment
  • Strong knowledge of BeGaap and IFRS standards
  • Excellent knowledge of Dutch and English, French is a plus
  • Experience in tax and compliance, particularly in collaboration with external consultants
  • Familiarity with Luxembourg accounting regulations and practices is a plus
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Proficiency in accounting software (Unit 4 , Winbooks)
